The 2016-2017 Perrin High School Varsity Cheerleaders and Petey the Pirate attended cheer camp June 13-16 at Tarleton State University in Stephenville.
The squad received a spirit stick every night and four blue superior ribbons for their chant and cheer evaluations performances. Samantha Vick, Brianna Bryant, Jasmine Brown, Jetton Cansler and Aubrey Chapman were picked as All American Nominees. Petey the Pirate, Yancey Southard, was chosen as an All American Mascot. Petey also received two red excellent and two blue superior ribbons based on his skit evaluations.
“The squad had a lot of fun and worked hard,” said coach Jena Kovar. “I am very proud of them and can’t wait to see them in action on Friday nights this fall.”
